February 29, 2020: Since the early 1960s, five-year survival rates for many blood cancer patients have doubled, tripled or even quadrupled. And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are helping patients with other cancers and serious diseases. March 4th, 2020: Lehigh Valley LaunchBox (LVLB) continues its educational event series focusing on the unique challenges and victories of female entrepreneurs who impact the Lehigh Valley and beyond with a program called “Groundbreaking Women Breaking Ground” on Wednesday, March 4. The speakers will share how the construction industry has influenced their entrepreneurial pursuits and business careers. For more info, click here.

March 5th, 2020: Actor, writer, producer, and director, Daniel Roebuck, a Bethlehem native, will speak at Penn State Lehigh Valley at 1 p.m. on March 5 in room 135. Roebuck will discuss his 35-year span as an actor in Hollywood and his new charity, A Channel of Peace through which he plans to bring more family/faith-based films to the Lehigh Valley. He will also be discussing the film “Getting Grace” which he co-wrote, produced, starred in and directed in the summer of 2016. Admission is free but seats are limited.  MORE INFO…

April 18th, 2020: The Great Balls of Fire Dodgeball Tournament is the primary fundraiser for the Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) Regional Burn Center’s survivor programs.  It will be run by burn center staff and burn survivors, and hopes to host more than 20 local community teams as they compete to win the champion’s trophy.  All funds – 100% – raised by this event will be used to support various survivor programs, including our monthly support group and sending survivors to the annual World Burn Congress with scholarships.  MORE INFO

July 18th, 2020: Celebrate 100 years of Wilson Pride! The Borough of Wilson was incorporated into a borough on July 12, 1920 and was named after President Woodrow Wilson.The borough celebrated its rich history with a Golden Jubilee in 1970 and a Diamond Jubilee in 1995.
