Scott's Bio
Scott Evans grew up in Flint, Michigan, a blue collar, hard-working town that went through some very hard times. In the early 80’s the automobile industry began a long decline and, as chronicled in the movie “Roger and Me”, people began leaving Michigan in droves heading south. Scott ended up in Charlotte, NC. While looking for a job, he kept noticing ads for a Broadcasting School. This was something he’d always wanted to do but didn’t know how to get started. “I should have got involved with the campus radio station at college but I didn’t. I was too focused on becoming a professional drummer”.
Immediately after graduation he landed a part time job at a station very similar to WLEV, in fact it was WLVV. The station went through several owners and a change to Country Music. A year after the change to Country, the station was closing in on number 1. Then came a chance to go to a “Major Market”, Miami/ Ft. Lauderdale, followed by great times in Dallas/Ft. Worth, where he met his wife Paula, and both of their kids, Tyler and Peyton, were born. The chance to do a syndicated show took Scott to Seattle. Then a great offer to work at WXTU in Philadelphia moved the family back across the country.
Scott and his wife, Paula, promised to stop moving around once the kids started school. They made it by one week. Tyler started kindergarten days after the move from Seattle to Philly. “This is the only place my kids have ever called home. Fortunately it’s as close to the Lehigh Valley as it is to Philly. The music we play on LEV is pretty much what I have on my iPod, Maroon 5, Rob Thomas, John Mayer. " Email Scott at scott@wlevradio.com
Tori's Bio
I began my radio career in high school when I was hired as a typist at a Radio Station near my hometown just outside of Mount Carmel, Pa.. – The heart of the coal region. I annoyed the Program Director on a daily basis until he agreed to put me on the air. It took me 3 weeks to break him!
I worked there through high school and college. That job helped pay for my college education where I earned 2 degrees in Account and Business Management. I also worked in the banking industry for a number of years as well as Radio Stations in Williamsport, Pa. and most recently at another Lehigh Valley Radio Station before making the switch to WLEV.
I love music and need to be surrounded by it 24/7. I don’t have any domestic skills but I’m pretty handy under the hood of a car for a girl! I am very spiritual and you will frequently find me at New Age / Holistic / Spiritual expos. I have a kitty named Skye and she is a constant source of amusement for me. Thank you for allowing me into your life via the radio! Email Tori at tori@wlevradio.com.
